Product Recalls: If a product has caused you harm, you may be entitled to bring a claim against the maker of that product.

Drug Recalls: One of the main areas of product recalls involves prescription drugs. The following are some prime examples of the drugs on which the FDA has issued recalls or warnings:

"Prozac", "Zoloft", "Paxil" & "Lexapro": used to treat depression, when taken by pregnant mothers, these drugs have been linked to serious birth defects.

"Yasmin": used for birth control, Yasmin has been linked to birth defects, blood clots, heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure.

"Depakote": used to treat seizures, when taken by pregnant mothers, Depakote has been linked to serious birth defects.

"Reglan": used to treat acid reflux, Reglan has been linked to Tardive Dyskenesia, a muscle and reflex disease.

"Avandia" & "Actos": used to treat type 2 diabetes, Avanida has been linked to heart attacks; while Actos has been linked to bladder cancer.

"Bextra": used to treat arthritis, Bextra has been linked to heart attacks and strokes.

"Digitek": used to treat the heart, Digetek has been linked to decreasing heart functions.

Medical Devices: Another very active area of recalls concerns medical devices that ultimately do more harm than the good for which they were intended. The following are some examples:

"DePuy Hip Implants": unfortunately many of these hip replacement products were not built to last, and therefore require replacement surgeries.

"Fentanyl Pain Patches": a product developed to deliver pain relief in an innovative way; however one which may result in overdose or death.

"Kegyl Hernia Mesh Patches": this product is implanted inside a patient to assist the healing process after hernia surgery; however it may actually break inside the patient causing massive complications.

"Transvaginal Mesh Patches": another mesh product used to treat urinary incontenence and pelvic organ prolapse; however it may instead cause breaking of the outher vaginal lining, infection and punctures of internal organs.
Even absent any symptoms or problems, if you or your loved ones have at any time taken or used any of the foregoing drugs or products, it is most likely in your best interest to obtain a medical examination. Furthermore you should always retain the subject product as evidence for any potential claim.
